This kind of selfrighteous and arrogant reply to my sharing of the 'Book of the Prophets' of underinformed prejudice exemplifies just what this book is all about.

Sure, it makes a statement which on first inspection appears rather contrived and unsubstantiated; how can anyone 'know' when a certain precessional age began; but what are the premises of those skeptics, judging such statements without understanding the context?

You see, the critics have fallen into a trap, namely the trap of 'judging things' exoterically, without undertstanding the esoteric insights or 'gnosis' if you will.

So allow me to now insert another crucial part of this book and its introduction; namely that of Popoulation Growth and illustrate with a simple model of it, just WHY so many prophets, junior and senior seem to have converged to the turn of the millennium to 'predict' the 'end of the world' in various 'Armageddons' from K2Y computer bugs to 'second comings' and the 'flipping' of the earth axis.

So WHY is the 'end of the world' somehow linked to the change of the century?

It has little to do with the calendrical 'dates', but everything to do with sustainability.

The latest wikipedia approximations for the surface area of the earth is SA_Total=510,065,600 Million squaremetres of which SA_Land=148,939,100 Million squaremetres are approximately land.

Now we know the story, a gnostic allegory really, of Noah and the flood and that the land appeared to introduce the 'Rainbow Covenant' between God and Mankind in Genesis.9.13.

So we define a maximum ratio of 'sustainable area' in SA_Land/SA_Total=0.292 and relate this to a total surface area given by the formula for a spherical body in 4πR².

Now enter the 'Genesis' of the symbolisms. It is known by most people, that the rotation period of planets is subject to change and fluctuations. For example the prescientific ages often referred to an 'Ancient Year' of 360 days matching the degree count in a circle. All calendars throughout the ages became based on observing the 'seasons' of the sun and the moon, their phases and ecliptic reoccurrences.

This will be described in some detail in part three: 'The Dating by Calendars...'

So we also know that the scriptural encodings; and not just the western bible, but most, if not all esoteric documents; often distinguish between a Day and a Night and so a halving of the circle of the 360 degrees to 180 degrees.

Considering the circle's area as increasing in 'ticks' of a cosmic clock, each tick representing the increment of a population by one member say; we can model the population on the surface of the earth as a function of its surface area.

This works, because the radius is independent upon the degree count, based on say the 'Ancient Year.

Using the 'common experience' of ticks on a clock, we might define the duration of such a tick as being a 'Cosmic Second (s*)' (which can be calibrated to be 0.999023008 seconds (s) in the terrestrial SI-System of mensuration and as a function of precision measurements for lightspeed 'c' and Planck's Constant 'h').

In terms of the 'Greater Circle' of the sky, this also describes a 'cosmic hour' as a 'Degree' and the cosmic second as an arcsecond.

We now DEFINE the Radius of our Population-Area as being a 'Cosmic Day' of 12 'Cosmic Hours', recalling the 'Genesis' of the distinctions between 'Day' and 'Night'.

This Radius the becomes 60.60.12=43,200 'ticks' of the population-clock.

Our Formula for the Critical Population-Count of Sustainability then is:

P_Critical=[0.292].4π(43,200)²=6,847,944,141 or 6.85 Billion.

This is of course an upper limit as it means that ALL of the planet's surface area is inhabitable.

Using the simplified version for this formula as a simple circular area, we find:

P_Critical=π(43,200)²=5,862,965,874 or 5.86 Billion.

Now, the earth's populations were and are projected as approximately: 5.978 Billion for the year 1999 and being over 6.6 Billion for September 2007.

So is it any wonder, that the prophets 'see' the period beginning say in 1998 as the 'End of the World'?

Perhaps the skeptics will learn to preserve comments on the prophets and their mental stabilities, before passing their prejudicial judgement on things they fail to understand.

It is well known that the art of propheteering engages 'altered states' of awareness, as this book shall attempt to elucidate.

Tony, I actually thought you were just posting something you had come upon somewhere else and thought was interesting, and I thought it was fair game, like everything else on this forum that people (including me) post about religion. I didn't think you actually believed in it. Sorry.
Personally, since we're being serious now, I would actually LOVE it if some event could happen as little as 5 years from now that would usher in a major change, (emphasized) FOR THE BETTER, to mankind as a whole -- call it the Age of the Starman or whatever you like. I would love it if Jesus came back, or even one of Shia Islam's imams, for that matter. I would love it if the aliens would come and make First Contact. But we as a species have been around this block too many times. The Second Coming was supposed to have happened at least a hundred different times. The Harmonic Convergence. The Age of Aquarius. The Earth Changes that were supposed to have happened sometime in the 1990's. Even major positive events in my lifetime that turned out to be REAL, and that COULD have had such an impact, like the first moon landing for instance, did not accomplish anything major for the benefit of the race as a whole, and change our species-wide consciousness in any significant way. We're still just a territorial, warlike, self-aggrandizing species crawling around on the same old rock, fighting about all the same old things the same old ways, dreaming all the same old dreams, and waking up to the same old realities. You and everybody else will just have to forgive me for believing, before some major change really does occur, that December 22, 2012 will not be a whole lot different from December 21, 2012.

Thank you John for this reply, which restored some sense of 'faith' in the 'human character' in my mind - I misunderstood you somewhat and did NOT see the humour in your address. I have little sense of humour and often been told this in many contexts. I apologize if my critique was too harsh.

Regarding your reply, I actually find myself in full agreement with you. I also see little difference between December 21st 2012 and December 22nd or December 22nd 2013 for that matter.

But this is something you and Mike and many others continually misunderstand about my compositions. I am NOT on some wishy-washy 'new age' trip or 'mystical journey of whatever fantasy'.
I am, or feel compelled to share, on an agenda of 'possible explanation' of things scientific, spiritual, metaphysical or otherwise.

This 'Book of the Prophets' begins with discussing the 'seeings' of the 16th century pf Mother Shipton and then continues to more 'modern' such 'seers'. And as you correctly pointed out, the doomsday scenarios all failed to occur - yet the Berlin Wall fell and the Soviet Union collapsed in modern history, and all of Mother Shipton's prophecies came true in a technical or innovative sense.

I lived in Germany (West) from 1959 to 1976 and can tell you, that the Unification of the political east and west was a pertinent agenda in that country and in no manner would anyone have thought, that reunification would be possible for a very long time.

So did the Harmonic Convergence on August 17th 1987 have something to do with this or is it just coincidence?

My position is, that millions of people gathering at so called 'sacred sites' like the Pyramids and Uluru and Maccu Picchu and Sedona etc. DOES represent an EMOTIONALLY CHARGED event, not unlike the 9/11 event or the Bali bombings or the deaths of JFK, MLK or more recently John Lennon and Diana.

Now blending a 'Science of Emotion' with history and what I term 'Group Consciousness' allows me to weave a certain 'carpet of illumination'.

And yes, I DO 'believe' {I actually believe in nothing, except my own or others logical and rational deductions and conclusions, so I use the word 'believe' in a common usage terminology}, that 'places' and people and so on can be in a manner IMPRINTED or 'charged' with energy. This then might be my 'new ageness' , which I however can qualify with models and equations of physics.

But not trying to bore you with monologue; this 'Age of Starman' is related to the GENERAL evolution of Man as descendant of Cro Magnon Man in a similar manner as the latter as Homo Sapiens Sapiens displaced the many species of Early Man from Erectus through Habilis and the Australopithecines.
It is NOT a special date, but such dates can MARK, say a mean position or NEXUS-POINT, just as birthdays and deathdays do for people in their individualised journeys through the kaleidoscope of life.

So the Age of Man is also the 'Cro Magnon Age' of warfare and egocentricity based on survival modes.
It was preceded by an 'Age of {some label}' and so on in a general mapping of the journey of 'Earth' in ITS evolution forming 'LIFEFORMS' beginning in chemical agglomerations to the first biota and so forth and forth. I use the precession of the earth's axis as a timekeeper in this model and attempt to EXPLAIN a DEEPER MEANING of what 'Prophecy' could be in the larger scope of things.

Your "Book of the Prophets" does have me curious about one thing. I know that the significance of December 22, 2012, is that it is one day after the end of the Mayan "long count" calendar, and I'd seen various New Age sources use that to imply that they think either that the world might end on that day, or that some remarkable "new age" might really begin then. But can you tell me for sure what the significance is of February 23, 24040 BC? I do have a guess. I know that the period of the Earth's axis wobble is about 26,000 years, although I did not know if it had been measured more precisely than that. But if I round the two dates to the respective nearest January 1, I can see that 24040+2013=26053 (and I don't have to add 1 for the "year zero", which our calendar does not include). Then, adding back the days in between, 10+31+23=-64. So, is a more exact figure for the wobble equal to 26,053 years and 64 days, and did you have this in mind?

Yes, you are on the track with your commentary.
The Mayan Long-Count is 1,872,000=13x144,000=26,000x72=5,200x360 days.
So if one begins counting as day #0 on August 10th, 3114 BC (as the Maya did in their calendar called the Tzolkien), then day #1,872,000 will be December 21st, 2012 AD and irrespective of calendrical confusions as to what 'date' it would be, say Julian or Gregorian or Hebrew or lunar or solar. It is a pure day count.
The 13 cycles of 144,000 now link to 'prophecies', like the 144,000 'elect and sealed' ones in Revelation.6 (and hasn't this caused a lot of confusion amongst the Christian sects).
So the 'prophets' now 'see' a bifuraction of the human genetic pool, say in the birth of children; after a critical population density has been reached {6 Billion in 1998-2000}. And a percentage say 12x12,000 will stem from the 'tribes of Israel' aka starsigns in those children of a slightly altered genetic disposition. (Compare Jay Gould's and Lynn Margulis' punctuated equilibrium evolution model for example).

The 13th starsign is that of Ophiuchus (The Serpent Tamer referring to Christ as the centre of the Last Supper etc.), putting his foot in between Scorpio and Sagittarius in the Milky Ways constellations, defining the zodiac and a first approximation of the precessional cycle as 26,000 day-years. The day-year is a crucial encoding in Ezekiel for example and also grossly misunderstood by believers and sceptics alike.
One can now 'finetune' astronomical counts.

The Ancient Year (AY) of 360 days mapped onto 360 degrees of a circle is also mapped onto the zodiacal 'wheel' of the Milky Way.
5 'Great Ages' each of 5,200 AY's so define an AY-count of 26,000 such years.
Esoterically then, this also describes the 'sacred architecture' of the pentagon in 5x72=360.
So if you now let a CYCLE OF PRECESSION vary in a rate centred on 1 degree every 72 years; then you will have 72x360=25,920 AY's defining the precession in AYs. This is also known as the Platonic Year. This is of course rather close to modern scientific estimates, say about the 25,900 year mark.
Now the 'Sidereal Year'=SY=365.25636 Days and a 'Tropical Year'=TY=365.24219 D.
The Julian calendar so gives a 4-Year as 1461 Days. inclusive a 'Leap-Year' and averaged as 365.25 Days.

Then the Gregorian calendar improved precision in a 400-Count as 146,097 Days as a Civil-Calendrical Year of 365.2425 Days.
Now one should of course consider chaotic systems and a slowing down or speeding up of rotation rates etc and because of this no precise equinoxial precession can be established over significant spans of linear time.
This returns us to the Mayan Tzolkien of the Long-Count 1,872,000=13x144,000=13(360x400); which incorporates the Civil Year of the present, due to the 400 factor.
As it encompasses the recent history, the Mayan dates can be universally applied to recalendricalise the day counts.

Day #1=August 11th, 3114 BC.
Day #1,135,030 =March 20th, 6 BC* and a proposed birthdate for Yeshuah Ben Joseph (Jesus).
Day # 1,137,142=December 31st, 1 BC.
Day # 1,137,143=January 1st, 1 AD and using 400 Civil Years=146,097 Days.

*This is commemorated on a Syrian coin and signifies a double Jupiter-Moon conjunction on March20th and April 17th that year (see Michael Molnar research on Star of Bethlehem myth).
Now Aries is the 'sign of the ram' and was then associated with the Hebrews in the firstborn son of Jacob (Reuben). The astrological significance if the 'wise men of the east' was, that with this birth, the 'Age of Aries' would end and the 'Age of Pisces' would begin.
Of course, March 20th/21 is also the spring equinox and if one now uses the Mayan calendar to project 13 and not 12 ages, one comes to January 21st 1998 as the 'Beginning of the Age of Aquarius'. This then 'explains' the many prophecies around that date and coupled to the population nexus point.

Day # 1,866,552=January 21st, 1998 AD and the transit of Capricorn into Aquarius and so 1/13th of the Mayan-Long-Count as 731,522=2002.84 Civil Years.
And Day # 1,872,000=December 21st, 2012 AD.
So for a 13-division an astrological age takes precisely 731,522 days or almost 2003 Civil Years.
But this now defines the total precessional cycle as 13x731,522 Days=9,509,786 Days.

In terms of the 'encodings' 731,522 Days so encompass the 144,000 Mayan Days, say as 'the Prophetic day-Count'; but as a factor of the 13-division of the cycle.
Now then, if Day #9,515,235 is also said to be December 21st, 2012; then a simple backwards count will give the following (I probably made a mistake somewhere, but perhaps not too many).

Effectively, the Mayan superposition shortcircuits the Arachnian Age and begins a new calendrical day-count. This was possible since the end of the 13th ManAge, as the old dispensation and as forseen by Mother Shipton, Nostradamus, Edgar Cayce and many others.
The above is related to an enigmatic number known as Nineveh-Number:
70x60^7=10(24x60)^2.{9,450,000}=(144,000)^2{9450}=3.5.7.9.10{144,000}^2.

70x60^7=7,560,000,000x25,920=(25,920)x(360)x(100,000)x(7.5.3.2.1)=(25,920)x(144,000)x(52,500)=(PlatonicYear)x(288,000)x(26,250).
So the count 9,450,000 exceeds the Age of Man to StarMan { 9,515,235 Days} by 65,235 days or about 178.61 Civilian Years. One might use this difference as a maximum spread of the variance of a precession day count from 9,450,000 to 9,515,235.
This avoids the reliance on calendrical dating systems.

13x731,522=9,509,786 Days =26,036.91 Civil Years and a minimal 9,450,000 Day count is 25,873.22 Civil Years with an arithmetic mean of a.m=25,955.1 Civil Years and a geometric mean of g.m=25,954.9 Civil Years, again in accordance with modern scientific estimates. The Ancient Year approximation of 25,920 AY's for a circular dynamics of 1 degree per 72 years is also accomodated.

Alternatively, use the interval [25,920,26,250] for a.m=26,085 and g.m=26,084.5. This results in a difference of 130 years. I recall, that the Mayas used the previous figure of 25,955 in the Tzolkien.
We have used a 'fractal form' for the Nineveh number and this is rather arbitrary; but related to 'Mayan masternumbers' such as 136656, which has cosmological significance in quantum relativity as the algorithmic encoding system of the statemenmt: "Join the End to the Beginning in adding and initialise with the old end".
The Mayan masternumber is 1,366,560=365x3,744=360x3,796=144x9490=13x20x5,256=.. and including many cyclicities of Venus, the Sun, the earth and other astronomical bodies.

Of course, the Mayan calendar was not based on this "wobble", which they did not even know about, so the mixture of modern astronomy and Mayan calendrics doesn't really make a whole lot of sense. Still, the similarities in the math got me thinking.
On the actual subject of the Mayan calendar, though, my "humble opinion" is that if our culture were using it, the date we call December 22, 2012, would just have been going to end up similar to what January 1, 2000, served. Namely, computer programs written years earlier would have had a built-in failure attached to them, we would have a major project ahead of us when all of a sudden we have to program things for the calendar "reset", a lot of people would be, in mainstream society as opposed to just the fringes, making all kinds of prophecies of gloom, doom, and magnificence, but ultimately, when the day does arrive, we would all wake up and everything would still be pretty much as it was -- just with a reset calendar, probably with a new digit added to the front to indicate that we were at a later date than the previous time through.
No, I don't think the Harmonic Convergence had anything to do with the falling of the Berlin Wall two years and three months later. I would put it more on the par with an event like Woodstock. By this I mean it was significant for those who participated, and it was a good thing that so many people could have been thinking thoughts of peace and unity all at once. But the people actually running things didn't give a hoot, all it seemed to generate in the mainstream was derision, and when it was over, everyone pretty much went on as if it hadn't happened.

1. Introduction to the JOB and Artform of Senior Prophethood

Throughout recorded history; there have been men and women from divers cultural persuasions and from many social environments, which have thought it appropriate to share their selfinduced wisdoms with their contemporaries in the world.
Most often those 'messengers from themselves' were grossly misunderstood, ridiculed, ostracised or 'stoned' in whatever way appropriate for the seasons and the times.

The JOB of a Senior Prophet is one of denying the prophet's 'selfhood' as judged and perceived by hisher peerage in favour of a projection of another 'selfhood or ego' and a 'prophetic self' rather unfamiliar to a Junior Prophet and hisher reluctant audience, unwilling to give ear or credence to 'just another one of those doomsaying fools.'

Once a lengthy and often 'very painful' process of self-criticism and 'fasting in the wilderness' has been completed; a Junior Prophet develops the potential to graduate into Senior Prophethood.
In reaching a certain level of selfawareness, a Senior Prophet or SP becomes an appropriate 'vessel' or container or template to manifest herhis 'transcended ego' in hisher JOB and capacity of the Propheteering.

At that stage. the prophet can withstand the by now meaningless judgements and critisisms of herhis fellow spacetime travellers, unable, due to a lack of experience and empathy to walk in the prophet's shoes; to make any 'real sense' out of the prophet's 'Sayings, Rhymes or Predictions'.

A SP may specify general events or exact dates. When such a specific date seems to the uninitiated to pass without any significant change in the external affairs of the world; then the prophesying medium is judged as an imposter or a charlatanic fake.

What then is one to make of MOTHER SHIPTON'S Prophecy of 1530, predicting everything from automobiles, aeroplanes, submarines and Californian Gold 'correctly', yet 'missing' the 'End of the World' in 1881 by a 'longshot?'

"Carriages without horses shall go
and accidents fill the world with woe.

Around the earth shall fly
in the twinkling of an eye.

The world upside down shall be
and gold found at the root of a tree.

Through hills man shall ride
and no horse be at his side.

Under water men shall walk
shall ride, shall sleep, shall talk.

In the air men shall be seen
in white, in black, in green.

Iron in the water shall float,
as easily as a wooden boat.

Gold shall be found and shown
in a land that's now not known.

Fire and water shall wonders do,
England shall at last admit a foe.

The world to an end shall come
in eighteen hundred and eighty one."

A SP of the stature of Mother Shipton does not specify a 'wrong date'; but like her fellow prophet Nostradamus uses certain encodings to state the obvious in a sense of the hidden or 'occult' meaning.

A Quatrain of NOSTRADAMUS in Century X, verse 72 agin predicts an exact yearly date:

"In 1999 and seven months, from the sky will come the great king of terror. He will bring back to life the great king of the mongols. Before and after, Mars, God of War reigns happily."

{Some of the decodings given here for completion are: ANGLOMOIS=SOL AMMON RA=Dragon=SOLOMON=Blood of Judaic Lion=SANG OM LOI=Law of One Blood}.

EDGAR CAYCE then further specifies the importance of the year 1998:

Reading [3976-15], January 19th, 1934:

"There will be upheavals in the Arctic and Antarctic that will make for the eruption of volcanoes in the torrid areas, and there will be the shifting of the poles, so that where there have been those of a frigid or semitropical (sic) will become the more tropical, and moss and fern will grow. And these will begin in those periods between '58 and '98..when his light will be seen again in the clouds."

In a related reading [5748-5]:

"In 1998, John, the Beloved disciple of Christ, shall be born again...He who shall be the avatar for his age.."

GORDON- MICHAEL SCALLION (GMS) in his 'Pyramidal Prophecies' states a similar convergence and period:

"Are the ascending and descending pyramidal passageways in Cheops related to biblical prophecy?"

The time-line ens in 1953 with the entrance to the king's chamber. '53 to '98 marks the time period of the 'Choosing' - Man's choices to determine how the next civilisation or Root-Race, will unfold. The time-line points to the tomb and the initiation for the journey for the initiatee through eight realms of seven earths, each lighter in vibration. The eight may be seen as the totality of the seven - the Universal Mind. Within each realm there are seven sublevels of initiation and in the second realm may be found ghosts and departed family members, also known as the astral realm. Initiation prepares one for the perfection of the soul.
Currently, all may easily enter the physical earth, leave through death of the physical, and enter again. After the greater changes occur between 1998-2001, the vibration on the physical earth as well as the inner earth will change so as to alter the process of initiation, increasing to fourteen. This has already begun in the astral world. While now all entities may enter the earth, shortly only those whose spiritual vibration matches the new earth will find entrance, should they choose, during the next 1,000 years - thus the millennium of peace as so prophesied.
